About “Talent Knows No Limits”

A project of the California Health Incentives Improvement Project (CHIIP), the Talent Knows No Limits (TKNL) public information campaign serves to spread awareness of the myriad of services and resources available to the disabled job-seeking community; as well as to employers that can benefit from this valuable labor pool. TKNL also strives to break barriers and to address misconceptions about the employability of people with disabilities.

About CHIIP

The California Health Incentives Improvement Project (CHIIP) is a multi-agency collaborative effort working to remove barriers to employment and self-sufficiency of people with disabilities, particularly health care and personal assistance barriers. Administered through The Interwork Institute at San Diego State University, CHIIP works closely with the California Governor's Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities to develop a Comprehensive Employment Strategy consistent with state law – The Workforce Inclusion Act (AB925).

About the Governor’s Committee

The California Governor's Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities (Governor's Committee) is responsible for providing leadership to increase the number of people with disabilities in the California workforce, and is an advisor for the CHIIP projects. The Governor's Committee provides a forum through which key state departments, boards, and councils, local service providers, business leaders and the disability community can collaborate to develop a comprehensive strategy that will result in an increased rate of employment for people with disabilities. The Governor's Committee consists of appointed and mandated public and private members and receives staff support from the Employment Development Department (EDD).

About EDD

The Employment Development Department (EDD) is one of the largest state departments with employees at hundreds of service locations throughout the state, and provides some infrastructure support for CHIIP. For more than 70 years, EDD has connected millions of job seekers and employers in an effort to build the economy of California.
